Higgott-Kane™ Gas Turbine Exhaust Systems

Gas turbine exhausts produce high levels of noise, rapid and extreme heat build-up and turbulent gas flow.  That’s why you need a proven turbine exhaust system that meets the most stringent of noise regulations while surviving under the stress of this harsh environment.

ATCO Emissions Management has installed over 750 Higgott-Kane™ gas turbine exhaust silencing systems worldwide with proven, efficient and measured  exhaust silencing results to meet dBA, dBC, octave band, and tonal performance requirements. Whatever your application from power generation to natural gas compression or offshore platforms worldwide, our exhaust systems are adept at reducing noise from gas turbines ranging in size from 1.5 MW to 300+ MW.

Best Practice in Engineering Design 

Our in-house engineers hold every product to the highest of standards and compliance requirements. For design integrity, the structural analysis program STAAD assists in the design of exhaust system support structures, while a thermo-mechanical analysis of gas turbine exhaust systems is performed using ANSYS. Special attention is also paid to critical components like acoustic baffle supports, to ensure survival under the high cyclic loading and thermal growth stresses seen in all gas turbine exhaust environments. In-house CFD and 3D modeling and finite element analysis is used to ensure all design limits for pressure drop, local velocity limits in critical silencer sections, temperature and flow profiles, and mandated non-cyclonic flow requirements are met.
